IPSLEI Facilitation Overview

IPSLEI utilizes a facilitated learning approach to all our programs. Programs are specifically designed to minimize the use of lecture and focus on facilitated interactive dialogue.

Implementation of the IPSLEI program is supported through facilitators certified in the content and teaching methodologies used in the program. IPSLEI uses a facilitator certification program in partnership with the Phi Theta Kappa Leadership Development Program Facilitator Certification Course.

Facilitation Requirements

The current MINIMUM IPSLEI facilitator qualifications as recommended by the IPSLEI Board of Directors are:

  • 10 years organizational experience with at least two years at the supervisory/managerial level.

  • A minimum of a Bachelors Degree from a regionally accredited college or university is required. (NOTE: Individuals without degrees but with exceptional organizational experience and non-traditional educational credentials may be considered as meeting the educational qualification. This will be on a case-by-case basis).

  • 5 years experience presenting in adult facilitated learning methods.

  • College, university, or organizational sponsorship/recommendation

  • And completion of the IPSLEI facilitator development program.

Facilitator Development Program

The facilitator development program is a comprehensive approach providing future IPSLEI facilitators the skills and knowledge to create dynamic and innovative presentations. At completion of the program individuals are then certified to present IPSLEI created courses and presentations.
