lifetime achievement criteria

      Individuals who have consistently engaged in activities related to the development of excellence in the exercise of leadership in service to the public safety are eligible. This is to be demonstrated through sustained multiple endeavors in activities that have a direct relationship to the personal leadership development of others. This may include but is not limited to:

​

Academic endeavors including university/college course work, seminars, workshops, etc.

  • Consistent publication in juried journals on relative leadership development topics

  • Frequent applied or empirical research in support of leadership development

  • Conduct of frequent and consistent personal leadership development mentorships

 

IPSLEI may award up to 3 individual awards per year

 

      Organizations who have consistently engaged in activities related to the development of excellence in the exercise of leadership in service to the public safety are eligible.  This is to be demonstrated through sustained multiple endeavors in activities that have a direct relationship to the promotion of personal and organizational leadership development within their organization.  This may include but is not limited to:

 

  • Sustained implementation of personal and organizational leadership development programs for personnel at all levels and functions in the organization

  • Use and promotion of ethical leadership decision making processes throughout the organization

  • Sustained promotion of an organizational culture and climate consistent with promulgation of the exercise of ethical leadership

 

IPSLEI may award up to 3 organizational awards per year.
